The Graduate Program of Culture Technology conducts innovative research for Culture Industry, by integrating computational/information technology with research fields of students who have various backgrounds. Our research interests include a variety of fundamental technologies for humanity, culture, education and art. Those can be decomposed into three categories, Media Technology, Intelligent Interaction Technology and Cultural Content Design.
We aim to develop novel techniques for media industries (e.g., games, movies, and animations) and digital exhibitions. In particular, our research focus includes computer graphics, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR).
We investigate interactive intelligent systems that intelligently understand users' intention and context with computational intelligence technology for various cultural applications such as artificial creatures, assistants and games.
We research recent storytelling theories, interaction methods, and media technologies to create creative cultural contents in various cultural applications.
